 | Doks! I never realized how fast these things can swim until they heard my shutter click and all rushed in on me for food. This pond is actually a heavily polluted canal, but the wildlife which has overtaken it on all sides is astounding. |

 | I looked out the kitchen window of my parent's house and saw the sprinkler on. Suddenly realized "Our sprinkler doesn't look like *that*!" Went outside and saw the hose burst in just the right way at just the right time of day. |
| Driving up Rt. 8, a very curvy, narrow, and rather beautiful empty stretch of mountain highway from Connecticut into Massachusetts, I saw this monstrosity by the side of the road and screeched to a stop over into the dirt parking lot. I went inside the building and asked the owner of "Beaver Antiques" about it, he said it was made out of chicken-wire and hay. He showed me some newspaper articles with him and the beav, and told me on a highway like that, he had to do something to stop the traffic. Well it stopped me and even got me to browse through the store even though i was in a hurry to get to NY. It's just one of those...."Americana" type images, dontcha think? | |
